Khi làng game đang hồi hộp chờ đợi sự ra mắt của Cyberpunk 2077 vào ngày 17/9 thì CD Projekt Red có vẻ đã sẵn sàng cho những dự án đầy tham vọng khác trong tương lai. Một tựa game hoàn toàn mới sẽ đến với vũ trụ The Witcher nhưng đây sẽ không phải là The Witcher 4 như nhiều người hâm mộ vẫn lầm tưởng.

Trong cuộc phỏng vấn gần đây, Adam Kiciński – CEO của CD Projekt Red đã tiết lộ nhiều thông tin thú vị về kế hoạch tương lai của họ sau khi Cyberpunk 2077 được phát hành. Theo đó, studio vẫn sẽ tập trung toàn bộ nguồn lực vào Cyberpunk 2077 và series The Witcher.

Trong khi Cyberpunk 2077 có thể sẽ được bổ sung nhiều bản mở rộng và tính năng mới thì vũ trụ The Witcher sẽ được chào đón thêm một tựa game mới toanh. Tuy nhiên, trò chơi này không phải là phần tiếp theo của The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt năm 2015 và đương nhiên, sẽ không được gọi là The Witcher 4.

Sau khi phát hành Cyberpunk 2077 vào tháng 9, một nhóm phát triển sẽ phát triển chế độ nhiều người chơi của Cyberpunk 2077, nhóm thứ 2 tập trung làm việc trên các bản mở rộng của trò chơi trong khi một nhóm thứ 3 nhỏ hơn sẽ phát triển một tựa game đơn mới với thời gian dự kiến trong 4 năm.

Không có thêm thông tin nào cụ thể hơn được tiết lộ nhưng một điều chúng ta có thể đoán trước được là chắc chắn tựa game này sẽ được phát triển cho các thế hệ console tiếp theo, bao gồm PS5 và Xbox Series X.

Nhờ sự thành công của phim, The Witcher 3 lại một lần nữa được các game thủ đón nhận nồng nhiệt. Nếu mọi chuyện thuận lợi, chúng ta cũng phải chờ đến tận 2024 mới được chơi tựa game The Witcher tiếp theo. Tuy nhiên trước mắt thì hãy chuẩn bị sẵn sàng để chào đón Cyberpunk 2077 được phát hành vào tháng 9 này.​
